SITUATION.

The city is located in the south-west corner of Andalusia, and most exactly in Huelva. It is settled on the left shore of Guadiana River, by its mouth. The municipal limit consists of 145'40 square kilometres. The extension is strengthed from the litoral edge to the North, following the course of the river. Ayamonte borders on San Silvestre de Guzmán to the north, on La Redondela and Isla Cristina to the East; on the Atlantic Ocean to the south; and on River Guadiana to the west, which is the frontier that separates Ayamonte with Villa Real de Santo Antonio.Besides the city, Ayamonte is composed of other city centres: Isla Canela, Barrida de Canela, Punta del Moral and Pozo del Camino.
